Timeline of Dynasty

c300,000 BC (Before Caulador) — In modern-day Caulador, the Arden species evolves into humanoid form. In modern-day Bodo, the Cauladese humans and Bodokin evolve side by side.

c2,000 BC — The Bodokin develop specialization and begin farming. As the demand for land and population increases, they compete with the humans. The two species come into conflict, and the Bodokin easily force out the humans who migrate North.

c1,500 BC — The Tamerlane civilization develops. The Cauldese and Arden encounter each other, and develop a peaceful trade relationship.

c1,200 BC — The Oulomin civilization develops.

c1,000 BC — The Cauldese, Bodo, and Arden civilizations develop.

232 BC — Pilo is born in Sarmatia.

200 BC — Bodo invades Caulador. Michael of the Archer Dynasty is King at the time. Pilo is “killed” for the first time in battle and discovers he is immortal.

199 BC — Pilo abandons his wife Meetra after their first child is stillborn and does not resurrect. Pilo wanders through Caulador as a thief.

189 BC — The war between Caulador and Bodo ends with a Bodo withdrawal.

151 BC — A great plague strikes Caulador. Pilo’s wife Guinevere and his adult son Percy both perish. Pilo seeks out the occult and speaks to mindless ghosts, leading to him to abandon all hope of love or family. He rededicates himself to being a womanizing thief.

185 to 131 BC — Polemus the Great Thinker creates the Guiding Principles, a moral code of conduct for the Oulomin. He also creates Bronze Age level technology centuries before it would develop in the rest of the world. The Oulomin become a beacon of civilization in a sea of nomadic barbarians. In his later years, Polemus becomes a prophet and foresaw their decline and subjugation by the barbarians. He also foresaw a time of darkness where a being of great evil would threaten to dominate the world, and a Prophesized One who would defeat the evil. This came to be known as the Prophecy of Polemus.

1 AC — Kingdom of Caulador founded in Kingston, the first organized civilization in the North. Pilo attempts to meet Old Man Spider in Bodo but is rebuffed.

c167 — The Antwerp hive queen is born.

195-200 — Pilo attempts to break into the castle at Ardanat to steal the Queen’s Crown. He spends five years in captivity entertaining the Queen before she allows him to leave.

208 — Damast is born to a royal prophetess who foretells she will be an invincible warrior who can only be killed by “one of the Manassi.”

233 — Rakin is born in Kush, the capital city of the Tamerlane.

241 — A plague strikes Caulador, virtually eliminating smuggler trade through the canyon lands of Perusia.

265 — Pilo attempts to steal from the Temple of Githio in Bodo and first encounters Damast. He narrowly escapes her grasp and hides out in Antwerp for several years.

266 —A falling star from the heavens destroys the Arden breadbasket on the border of Caulador and creates the Haunted Desert.  Ardenae loses the ability to feed its own people without outside assistance.

THE MANASSI DYNASTY:

267 — The Bodokin, led by Lady Damast, overwhelm the meager human defenses at the border pass and stand ready to conquer Caulador. The Manassi publically appear to stop the battle and assume custodianship of both nations.

          The Manassi assume positions across the world. The scientists are Baraka in Caulador, Dalonna in Bodo, and Aldora in the South West. The warriors are Reintok & Beede in the East, and Ramala in the South East. Dalonna makes Lady Damast his apprentice. A vicious war of succession in Caulador is halted when the Manassi back King Renn of the Marchand house.

268 —Caulador turns on its ancient trade partners the Arden and allies with their former enemy the Bodokin.

270 — Sporadic warfare between Caulador and Ardenae begins.

271 — Rakin and Temuge abandon the South and travel to the East. They land in the Jalarid Desert and are captured by the Jalarids and tortured in the Halls of Lamentation. They eventually escape and head westward.

272 — Rakin and Temuge save the Oulomin from a Chagatai attack, but the Oulomin send them away. They meet the Ogedei and help them retake the port city of Merkai from the Yesugei. Rakin decides to unite the seven barbarian tribes under his banner.

273 — Rakin unites the Ogedei and Yesugei together to conquer the Chagatai. Pilo sails around the world with the explorer Edwin the Wanderer. He is captured by cannibals west of Bodo.

274 — The Khajuin and Tartary submit to Rakin’s authority.

275 — Rakin’s army begins a long grueling war with the Jalarids.

276 — Rakin defeats the Jalarids and creates the Horde. He builds his capitol city of Samarkand and forms trade agreements with the Oulomin and Corsairs.

278 — Enkil, Damast’s second son, is born. Damast reaches the Age of Ascension at 70 and becomes an adult.

279 — First Horde Invasion of the West. The Bodokin and Manassi repel it. Rakin is surprised and defeated by Damast, whom he had not known of.

282 — Second Horde Invasion of the West. They occupy Nemenos before being repelled. Rakin kills Damast’s eldest son. King Lionel of Caulador is born.

283 — Damast crosses the Middle Sea into the East and kills Rakin’s son Temuge, the only other survivor of his people.

284 — Third Horde Invasion of the West. Rakin ambushes and captures Damast, kills her husband, and takes her back to the East where is she is tortured in the Halls of Lamentation. When Rakin departs, the Manassi rescue her.

c300 — Rakin abandons all attempts at recruiting Kebul into his war.

302 — Brilliant young Jamuka of the Ogedei is kidnapped by the Yesugei. Rakin rescues the lad and recruits him into his retinue. Jamuka swiftly rises through the ranks to eventually become Rakin’s chief lieutenant.

315 — Anudala is born in Caulador to a royal servant. Her mother dies in childbirth and she becomes a ward of Queen Anastasia.

321 — Julius and Julius are born in a Boudican village. Their mother gives them the same name hoping to allay the superstitious fear of twin children.

325 — Enkil joins the Bodo military and fights the Horde.

328 — Princess Megan, daughter of King Lionel, is born. Queen Anastasia dies giving birth to her. Anudala (age 13) is made one of her maids. Goodwin is born in Kingston without a father. His mother dies in childbirth, and he becomes a ward of the state.

333 — Anudala (age 18) becomes the apprentice of Baraka and is no longer a maid to Princess Megan (age 5). Julius or Julius (age 14) wins the national archery contest and are recruited into the army and made Lords.

334 — Baraka interrupts the King’s chiding of Agilbert. Anudala offers herself to Baraka and is refused, but they begin sharing a bed. Baraka becomes enamored of Anudala.

335 — Baraka begins to share forbidden secrets with Anudala.

336 — The Manasssi grow suspicious of Baraka and Anudala. Reintok interrogates the two of them. Julius and Julius move away from Boudica. Goodwin (age 8) ages out of the orphanage and is forced to live on the streets in poverty. He joins Andrew’s gang.

337 — Anudala (age 22) unlocks the secret power of the Manassi, kills Baraka, and flees to Ardenae, where she is taken in by the Arden Queen. They plot against the Manassi.

339 — Anudala travels to the East, forming alliances with the Baruk, Oulomin, Corsairs, and Horde. Rakin is immediately smitten with Anudala but she rejects his advances.

341 — Anudala returns to Ardenae and musters the cause of war. The Arden Queen shares command with her. Anudala confronts Dalonna over the Gates of Ardenae.

343 — Lord Agilbert of Boudica defects to Ardenae. Goodwin (age 15) falls in love with Lynn, a true believer in Osa, who shortly dies.
