Well, almost. Just got to wait on that vaccine now.
I don’t have to tell you 2020 was terrible, just on every single level. I’m very glad to see the back of it.
On the writing side of matters, I decided to make a switch from original writing to editing my existing unpublished books. After all, I now have a DOZEN unpublished novels! So it’s more important for me to get these rough drafts into better shape than to keep writing in a series no-one is ever going to see. I’m almost done editing my five book high fantasy series (with a sixth and final book as yet unfinished).
I hope to have some new publishing news soon.
I spent a lot of 2020 reading favorite new authors like John Scalzi and Daniel Wilson. I also greatly enjoyed David Mack’s Dark Arts WWII-era fantasy trilogy. On the media tie-in side, I loved the Avatar (Last Airbender) Kyoshi series by F.C. Yee. The first book in the new Star Wars High Republic series was also great and a very promising start to a new era in my favorite franchise. My most anticipated book for this year would definitely be the final entry in the James S.A. Corey Expanse series. It just keeps getting bigger and better!
Stay safe. Wear a mask.
